Subheim - The Kostas K. Project
Subheim is the personal project of electronic music composer and visual artist Kostas K. The overall sound of Subheim can be described as a down-tempo, experimental venture fusing IDM elements together with rich ambiance and female vocals by Katja. Complex and uncompromising, Subheim’s debut album on Tympanik Audio is full of intricate rhythms, deep reverb’s, and bit-crushed sounds, combined with pianos, cellos, and beautiful synth work. Haunting melodies and distant voices meet complex beats and luring atmospheres to create a unique blend of dynamics and emotion.
The band’s debut album, “Approach“, has been greatly anticipated by many Greeks and US citizens alike.
“Approach” flirts with post-rock, IDM, and atmospheric down-tempo styles, while still maintaining an original sound that is both captivating and inspirational. Moved by subjects such as urban isolation and the outburst of mankind’s deepest emotions, Subheim delivers the ideal soundtrack for those moments of chaos or melancholy reflections. “Approach” Also features remixes by Mobthrow and Flaque and will be available on digipak CD by Tympanik Audio.
