Sad News For The Gothic Electro Genre

by Ambient Decay on March 21st, 2008

Gothic electro band, Inertia, has announced the death of the band’s original guitarist, Mark Barrett. Mark Barrett performed early on with Inertia’s beginning and in multiple live acts. He also helped write/co-wrote many of the band’s more popular if not some of the most popular songs; “Angel“, “Harlequin“, “The Seduction“, “Retaliate“, and “Cryonica“.

Mark Barrett was also a member of the band Que Iazzurrus which is known for the track “Goodbye Horses“; featured in the film Silence of the Lambs and later covered by the electro band Psyche.

Barrett passed away on March 8th from a heart attack…

… So all of you industrial lovers, give a stomp, swing, or scream in Mark Barrett’s honor. Barrett will be sorely missed by many, though he’ll still be playing on for many years to come.

As Always, Here is A Fix.
