Industrial Addiction

New Findings: Netherfabrik

by Ambient Decay on March 14th, 2008

Hey Industrial Addicts!

Upon my searching and scouring for the latest and greatest of industrial bands and news, I happened across a band that hails from … um.. the Netherlands perhaps. (The artist never really states where the band has originated from).

Thanks a bunch Mack…

Turns out, Netherfabrik is a one man show. That one man is Joshua Fielstra.

Now I have just sampled some of this mates stuff and I find it very interesting. So far from what I have heard and read up on, it seems he has only came out with one album, “The Liminal Void EP“, and it has only 5 tracks and a total playing time of 28:18.

His web site is pretty interesting as well (I must just be a sucker for flash sites), but that isn’t the only reason why I say so. Obviously this mate has given a lot of thought into the bands name and he explains it in-depth on his site which is found at: http://www.netherfabrik.com/index.html

So go and check it out, read up, sample his previews and tell me what you think!

As Always, Here is A Fix.

Josh Fielstra is an incredibly gifted musician and a very dear friend of mine. I was a part of Netherfabrik in a live capacity and played backup keys. You’re right in that Netherfabrik is the creation of one man but he’s not from the Netherlands. He’s originally from Michigan. The live show got its start in Milwaukee, WI.

Rock on Judy and thanks for the information on where he was from. More importantly thank you for your comment!

It’s awesome that this mate is from Michigan since I was born and raised there myself. I’d love to hear more of his work when he makes it and I think it’s stellar that you know him.

Just out of personal indulgement if you will, do you know where about in Michigan he is from… from one ‘michigander’ to the next. I’m from the Gratiot area, specifically Alma. (Frigin pothole of a city.)

Sorry, I totally forgot I’d responded to your original message and found it again. He’s from Muskegon, I believe.
