Monday Triple Treatment x1 - Insight
What is industrial to you? What would you personally consider to be industrial?
These are all questions that I have been asked as well as asked myself when I was a “Young Rivithead” (Even though I’m not considered to be a rivithead at all: more of an Elder Goth). Every person has their views on what makes industrial music, well … industrial.
Some will say the hard hitting beat; others will say it is solely the message of the singer and how it sounds, while others say that industrial music has to have that machine sound of turning gears and metal being slammed upon metal. Who’s to say which definition is right or rather which definition is wrong? Can they all be right or is what we listen to now flawed still that it isn’t really industrial and just a intoxicating faux sound.
