Evanescence – The Open Door

by User ImageAmbient Decay on July 27th, 2007

Hrm. I have always liked Amy Lee and the band of Evanescence. Their first album took the not only the store shelves by storm, but many people’s hearts with her soothing hypnotic-like voice. Amy’s looks aren’t too bad as well.

With Evanescence’s new album, The Open Door, premiered with Wind-up Records It’s mellower than her first one but that doesn’t tear away those metal loving rivets that do stand up and say “Hell YES I listen to Evanescence!” It’s considered to be more Gothic Rock then industrial but it deserves to be mentioned at the Addiction.

The Open Door is Evanescence’s 4th album but only the 2nd to come from Wind-Up Records. The Tracklist is 13 songs and all filled with the mystical serenade that this band loves to bring to the industry.

Sweet Sacrifice, The Only One, and of course Call Me When You’re Sober are all huge hits with the fans nation-wide. This CD was recorded a year earlier but has just recently hit the shelves and it is already being gobbled up by quickly, as well as their adoring fans shiver and crying with anticipation of Evanescence’s tour. The band is touring with Korn and many other big names throughout Europe and soon in the US.

If you don’t already have this CD, GET IT. I highly recommend it.

Track List is as follows:

1. Sweet Sacrifice

2. Call Me When You’re Sober

3. Weight of the World

4. Lithium

5. Cloud Nine

6. Snow White Queen

7. Lacrymosa

8. Like You

9. Lose Control

10. The Only One

11. Your Star

12. All That I’m Living For

13. Good Enough
