Emilie Autumn – Let The Record Show

by Ambient Decay on September 30th, 2007

Honestly, screw the record; I’d rather her show more… …um …MUSIC. Sheesh what were you people thinking?

Any who. Emilie Autumn’s Let The Record Show off her Opheliac album is a great listen. In this song she does stress her voice like she does in the songs Thank God I’m Pretty and Opheliac, just to name a few. This is okay though since she shows a tip of her vocal talent that will leave even the most hardcore looking biker guy on his knees saying “I’M NOT WORTHY” if he ever got the chance to meet this visually and riveting lyrical artist.

The song starts off with a Twilightish feel but quickly goes into industrial sounds of metal banging savagely upon metal and steam vents releasing their built up pressure. The tempo of the song is very steady but her voice is simply ravishing on its presentation since it does keep with the tempo at times but then she quickly belts out many words and still keeps with the slower tempo. A must hear to believe.

The song does leave you wanting more… MORE EMILIE AUTUMN. This is all fine and dandy since she was so generous in NOT making this the only song on the album, so no worries folks!

Plus, the first three seconds of the song you hear her say: “How’s That” and maybe it is just me, but the thought that runs through my head is: “Hrm. She sounds hot and therefore has attained my optimal interest in what she has to sing about!”

Okay so maybe it’s just the, She sounds hot part, but she gets my attention nevertheless…ehrm.

Anywho people, get this album, enjoy the song, and you will think the same… sheesh.

As Always, Here is A Fix
