An Overview on Industrial Music Listings
It’s always a hard thing compose when someone asks you “What type of music do you listen to?” Especially if you listen to Industrial Music. One reason being is industrial music is full of some many sub-genre’s and categories that often times, they cross into one another very heavily. So needless to say, it becomes quite a pain-in-the-ass to correctly categorize a particular song or band.
This, at least to me, comes with the turf and one must be able to handle any hate mail when categorizing industrial music. Industrial music is a very tightly-knitted community of listeners and often times, listeners are very closed minded and stubborn on their music classification. This can be very funny at times when some jerk-off get all hot and bothered when someone dares to challenge their “Intelligence”.
For instance, some say that the band Combichrist is power noise, where as others will fight till they are blue in the face that Combichrist is actually Industrial-Techno. This is where you’d see me laughing rather loudly and eventually throwing whatever was close to me at the quarreling poser’s. (Last time it was my date… I still feel sorry for those mates considering the 8 inch platforms she was wearing were steel toed.) Now on a lighter note, I have recently found a great image in helping to classify the numerous bands in, what is and what isn’t in a particular sub-genre/category.
Mind you though that this is only a way to help classify and bring a bit more unity to the idiots who are hell bent on proving other’s wrong despite the fact that it’s music.

Now that nifty little thing should bring some light on what is and what isn’t in a genre. Also, to the people out there that do not agree with this, do us all a favor, shut up until asked and please keep it civil… Assholes.
